Terms & Conditions.
Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before registering for the Techkriti Open School Championship (TOSC '26), organized by Techkriti, IIT Kanpur.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the TOSC '26 platform, creating an account, or participating in the championship, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you are a minor (below 18 years of age), your parent or legal guardian must review and consent to these terms on your behalf. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not register for or use the platform.
2. About TOSC '26
The Techkriti Open School Championship (TOSC '26) is an annual national competition designed to engage students of Classes 6 to 12 in aptitude, reasoning, and scientific thinking. The championship is conducted in two phases: Phase 1 (an online objective examination) and Phase 2 (an offline finale at the IIT Kanpur campus for invited qualifiers).
3. Eligibility
Participation is open to students enrolled in Classes 6 to 12 in any recognized school or educational board across India. Participants are placed into one of the following pools based on their class:
- Pool A — Classes 6 to 8
- Pool B — Classes 9 and 10
- Pool C — Classes 11 and 12
You must provide accurate class and grade details. Providing false, misleading, or incomplete information may lead to disqualification without a refund.
4. Registration & Account
- Registration is completed using Google sign-in, followed by submission of your candidate profile.
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information, including your name, contact details, guardian information, and school details.
- Your TOSC roll number is generated automatically by the platform and is unique to you.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities under it.
- Only one account is permitted per participant. Duplicate or fraudulent registrations may be cancelled.
5. Fees & Payment
A non-refundable registration fee of ₹150 is payable through the designated payment gateway (SBI Collect). Your registration is confirmed only after verification by the TOSC team.
TOSC is not responsible for failed, delayed, or duplicate transactions, or for payments made to incorrect accounts. Please retain your transaction reference (UTR) and receipt for your records.
6. Examination & Conduct
- Phase 1 is a timed online examination (60 minutes) consisting of objective questions.
- You must attempt the examination independently, without any unfair assistance or external help.
- Impersonation, use of prohibited aids, sharing or recording question content, or attempting the exam multiple times under different identities is strictly prohibited.
- Any violation may result in immediate disqualification, cancellation of results, and forfeiture of any awards or certificates.
7. Results, Awards & Certificates
Results and rankings published by TOSC are final and binding. Awards, prizes, and certificates are subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these terms. TOSC reserves the right to withhold, modify, or revoke any award or certificate in cases of misconduct or rule violation.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the platform, including question papers, study materials, text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Techkriti, IIT Kanpur or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without prior written permission.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform, servers, or other users' accounts.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the platform.
- Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content.
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the platform without permission.
10. Privacy
Your use of the platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The platform and the championship are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TOSC, Techkriti, and IIT Kanpur disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TOSC, Techkriti, IIT Kanpur, and their officers, employees, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform or participation in the championship.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TOSC, Techkriti, IIT Kanpur, and their affiliates from any claims, losses, or damages arising out of your violation of these terms, your misuse of the platform, or your participation in the championship.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India.
