  • Account information — collected when you sign in with Google, such as your name, email address, and profile photo.
  • Profile information — provided when you complete your candidate profile, including phone number, guardian name and phone number, school name and address, state, city, class/grade, and championship pool.
  • Payment information — your uploaded payment receipt (image or PDF) and payment status. Card, UPI, and bank details are handled directly by the payment gateway and are not stored on our platform.
  • Technical and usage information — such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and analytics data.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process your registration and generate your TOSC roll number.
  • Verify your fee payment and update your payment status.
  • Administer the examination, publish results, and issue certificates.
  • Communicate important updates, schedules, and announcements.
  • Improve, secure, and troubleshoot the platform.
  • Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal information on the following legal bases: your consent (including parental or guardian consent for minors), the performance of your participation in the championship, and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the platform.

5. Third-Party Services

We rely on third-party service providers to operate the platform, including Google (authentication), Firebase / Google Cloud (database, storage, and hosting), and SBI Collect (payment gateway). These providers have their own privacy practices and may process data on our behalf. We also use analytics services to understand how the platform is used.

6. Children's Privacy

TOSC '26 is intended for school students, many of whom may be below 18 years of age. We collect guardian contact information and require parental or guardian consent for minors. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us and we will take steps to review or delete that information.

7. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share your information only with our authorized examination platform partner for the purpose of conducting and administering the examination. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect the rights and safety of participants and the platform.

We retain personal information only for as long as is necessary to administer the championship, fulfil the purposes described in this policy, and comply with applicable legal and record-keeping requirements. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.
